'. ¿Quién es Ramones? Ramones fue una banda de punk formada en Forest Hills, en el distrito de Queens, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, en el año 1974. Líderes del punk, los Ramones establecieron las bases de este género musical con composiciones simples, letras muy sencillas o incluso sin sentido. Es considerada una de las bandas más importantes de la historia del rock. La banda fue disuelta en 1996. Su sonido tenía influencias del rockabilly de los años 50 y el surf rock, representadas en las bandas The Beatles, The Who, The Velvet Underground, además de otras agrupaciones pequeñas de los años 60: The Shangri-Las y el sub-genero garage proto-punk de grupos como: MC5 y The Stooges. Los primeros integrantes fueron el guitarrista Johnny Ramone (John Cummings, nacido el 8 de octubre de 1951); el bajista Dee Dee Ramone (Douglas Colvin, quien nació en Canadá el 18 de septiembre de 1952) y el baterista y cantante Joey Ramone (Jeffrey Hyman, nacido el 19 de mayo de 1952).
